We are thrilled to have Kate Buckles Photography back again this season to take our photos!

  • You may purchase and schedule as many sessions as you’d like with the photoshoot packages. Each session is a short individual photoshoot (about 3 minutes) for one costume with multiple quick poses.

Your scheduled time is a 5-minute window, which you will share with other dancers. These sessions move very quickly.

There are hundreds of dancers who need to be photographed within a limited timeframe. Please arrive ready to go at your scheduled time.

Depending on how class photos and previous sessions run, we may occasionally be ahead of schedule or slightly behind. We appreciate your patience and flexibility.

We recommend arriving a few minutes early, just in case we are able to move sessions forward.

Small props and creative poses are welcome, but please avoid props or poses that require extra setup time. Dance staff will be available to assist with posing and simple costume adjustments during the session.

  • Your session fee covers the digital images and the photographer’s time, including not only the mini-session itself but also the many hours spent editing and processing the photos afterward.

For perspective, a typical 15-minute professional photography session can cost $250 or more, so these recital sessions are designed to provide a professional experience at a much lower price for dance families.

Once the thousands of images from recital photo day are processed, you will receive an email with access to your online gallery. Please allow for two weeks after recital day for the photos to be delivered!

From your gallery you will be able to:

    • Download your high-resolution digital images
    • Download your class photo(s)
    • Optionally purchase professional prints

Each session includes at least 3 edited images.

    Typically this includes:

    • One full-length portrait
    • One closer portrait
    • Additional pose variations

If your dancer moves quickly through poses and works well with the photographer (great expressions, eyes open, etc.), you may receive more than three images.

You are welcome to print your photos anywhere you like since your digital files are included, though we highly recommend printing through the gallery for the best quality!

  • All class photos will be provided to our students for FREE! You do not need to schedule a photoshoot appointment if that is the only photo you want. Just be sure to show up to your scheduled class photo during In-Studio rehearsal!

  • PLEASE NOTE: Photo sessions are priced per dancer.

If you purchase a 3-session package, it applies to three sessions for the same dancer (usually for three different costumes).

Sessions cannot be split between multiple dancers (friends, siblings, cousins, etc.).

However, buddy photos are allowed, as long as the dancer who booked the session is included in every photo taken during that session.

  • Step 1:
Click on the link above & choose the photoshoot package you would like to purchase.

    Step 2:
At checkout, enter the parent or guardian’s contact information. This person will receive:

    • the receipt
    • reminder emails
    • the final gallery link

Please also include your student’s name.

    Click Pay.

    Step 3:
Enter your billing details and click Next.

    Step 4:
You will receive a confirmation email with a link to schedule your time slot.

On the scheduling page, book the number of sessions that matches the package you purchased.

    Example:
If you purchased the 3 Costume Photoshoot, you must schedule 3 time slots.

Please use the same name you used during checkout.

  • Yes, you can do “buddy photos”. Just remember, the session is for the dancer who purchased the session and they must be in every photo regardless who else is in the photo (no individual shots of your buddy; they need to purchase their own session for that).

If you purchase a package, you can do some of your sessions by yourself and some with a buddy if you want. You can also do all of them with a buddy, or none with a buddy. It is up to you.

Please have your buddy ready to go with you during your time slot! If you are missing a buddy when it is your time, we will try to push you to the end of the time slot (let other ready dancers go first), or attempt to reschedule you later in the day.

EXAMPLE ONE: Isabella’s mom buys a 4-costume package. Isabella must be in all 4 booked sessions, one for each of her costumes. Isabella’s sister, Jessica, can be in the second costume session, and Isabella’s friend, Megan, can be in the forth costume session. However, neither Jessica or Megan can be photographed by themselves during Isabella’s 4 sessions.

EXAMPLE TWO: Megan’s dad buys her a 2-costume package. Megan has a sister, Julie, who is also a dancer at Dimensions. Megan can have one individual session and then one buddy session with her sister. Or, Megan and Julie can be together in the both sessions purchased. However, they can not each be by themselves in one of Megan’s sessions. Julie would need her own package if she wanted separate individuals.

  • You can purchase more than one session, even if you just want to repeat the same costume and get more poses (or incorporate a prop). Just be sure to have new poses or props ready to go. The photographer may not remember that you’ve already done the standard two poses, so you need to mix it up yourself!

  • To minimize your time waiting for photos, try to schedule your individual sessions as close as possible to the scheduled class photoshoot for the same costume.

  • If something is unclear or your situation doesn’t quite fit the guidelines above, we’re happy to help.
